Guide / DATA Tab

DATA Tab

Configure your audit: keywords, metadata and AI prompts

What is the DATA Tab?

The DATA tab is where you enter all the information SEOwer needs to analyze your content. It is the first mandatory step before clicking AUDIT.

You'll notice each field has a magic wand icon next to the labels. Clicking the wand copies a prompt you can use in external AI tools to automatically generate optimized content.

MAIN KEYWORD

The main keyword is the most important term you want to rank your article for. It's the phrase a user would type in Google to find your content.

Type in the field and press Enter or add a comma. You can add up to 3 main keywords separated.

1 How to choose your Main KW

  • It must be specific and related to the central topic of the article
  • preferably 2-4 words (long tail)
  • Must appear in the title, first sentence and throughout the text
  • Research with Google Keyword Planner, Ubersuggest or SEMrush

Correct example

If your article is about "how to make homemade bread", your main KW could be: "homemade bread recipe" or "how to make bread at home"

SECONDARY KEYWORD

Secondary keywords are related terms that complement your main KW. They help cover more search intents and demonstrate that the topic has been covered in depth.

They are optional but recommended. You can add up to 3 secondary.

Examples of Secondary KWs

If your main KW is "homemade bread recipe", secondary could be: "no-knead bread", "sourdough bread", "bread starter"

LSI Entities

LSI entities (Latent Semantic Indexing) are terms and concepts semantically related to your main topic. They are not exact synonyms, but words an expert would naturally use.

The tool requires a minimum of 10 entities separated by commas. You can use the magic wand to copy a prompt that generates LSI entities with external AI.

2 How to generate LSI entities

  • Think of concepts an expert would include when talking about the topic
  • Include relevant proper names, techniques, tools, materials
  • Variations from your industry or niche
  • Common problems and related solutions

Example for "homemade bread recipe"

Wheat flour, fermentation, crust, crumb, yeast, kneading, oven, temperature, hydration, autolysis, fold, banneton, steam, browning

SEO Title (45-55 characters)

The SEO title is your article's title that will appear in Google search results. It is one of the most important factors for SEO.

The progress bar indicates if you're within the ideal range of 45-55 characters. You'll see the character counter in real time.

3 How to write a perfect SEO Title

  • Include the main KW at the beginning of the title
  • Keep between 45 and 55 characters (Google displays the first 50-60)
  • Use attractive but descriptive language
  • Avoid clickbait: only promise what the article delivers
  • You can include the year for time-sensitive articles

Ideal Length

45-55 characters. If you see the bar in red or intense green, you're outside the range.

Correct example

"Homemade Bread Recipe: Step by Step for Beginners" (52 characters)

Common error

Titles over 60 characters will appear cut off in Google with "..."

Meta Description (145-155 characters)

The meta description is the text that appears below the title in search results. It doesn't directly influence ranking, but it does affect the CTR (Click Through Rate).

A good meta description convinces the user to click on your result.

4 How to write an effective Meta Description

  • Include the main KW naturally
  • Between 145 and 155 characters so it doesn't get cut
  • Include a benefit hook: what the reader will gain
  • Add a soft call to action

Correct example

"Learn to make homemade bread with no prior experience. Easy recipe with sourdough starter, slow fermentation and crispy crust. Start now!" (148 characters)

Prompts with the Magic Wand

Next to each field you'll see the magic wand icon. Clicking it copies an optimized prompt you can use in ChatGPT, Claude or other AI tools.

These prompts are designed so an external AI generates content you can then paste into Google Docs and audit with SEOwer. It's a combined workflow.

Recommended workflow

1. Fill DATA with your keywords → 2. Copy the prompt with the wand → 3. Use external AI to generate content → 4. Copy the content to Google Docs → 5. Click AUDIT

The AUDIT Button

Once you've filled in all the fields, click the "AUDIT" button (bright blue). The system will analyze your complete Google Docs document.

After auditing, results will appear in the SEO and TONE tabs. You'll see exactly what you need to improve:

  • Green: Correct
  • Yellow: Review
  • Red: Problem
